just bought another one to the collection, (six at last count ) 1968 swb, not sure if its a seriies 2 or 3 till i get it delivered on thursday and see the reg document, its got a 200tdi and disco box fitted, i didnt hear it running when i went to veiw it but did notice that the angle on the rear prop is very sharp and i would have thought it to much of an angle to drive safely,

If motor in standard position then with a disco box rear prop is going to be real short. Got around this problem on a trialer by lowering the gearbox mount's tilting all for back, means the front
output has to work at a worse angle but it's length will help.

thanks i thought about raising the engine up at th mounts to lesson the angle at the prop, the other thing is that box is permanant4wd and these dont like being in 4wd drive for any length of time, i get it tomorrow ill have a better look at things, tottot did you run yours in permanant 4wd ?

For a propshaft with UJs to work properly (without vibration) the output shaft of the gearbox and the pinion shaft of the diff should be parallel.
