hello everyone. my dad has a 2007 freelander 2 td4. today i noticed his radio screen is showing a black rectangle in the middle . below it says the numbers 1 2 3 4 5 6 ta pty news ie . does anyone have any ideal what the problem is and how much it would cost to fix? i would be grateful for any help.

It's the screen driver chip that has failed.
Replace the unit with a working second hand unit.
That is the base spec unit, so is cheap and easy to fit.
