Hello All,

Mate of mine has 2006 L322, the newer shape one. His Stereo packed up and he had the flashing orange power light. We bypassed the Bluetooth module and everything started working again except the Bluetooth.

I bought a second hand Bluetooth module same part number XVJ500280 out of 2006 -2008 and all works as it should except it is asking the pin at each start of the ignition.

Why would this be if the part number is the same is there a way to stop it. On my 2005 the same thing happened but that always asked. I ended up putting one out of sport in and that fixed it with a wiring mod.

Anybody know a fix?

Thanks in advance

Sorry car is 2007 not 2006 private plate and confused mate, different to my 2005 as it has electronic hand brake and key is in the dash not the console. He tells me the Bluetooth only asked for the pin once then remembered it but now doesn't.

It sounds like the Bluetooth module is having it's power cut everytime the ignition is turned off instead of having a constant live supply?

As said my 2005 used to do this, reading elsewhere looks like it needs a software update as the address book doesn't load up either and it did with the original BT module of the same part number. I stupidly assumed they had ironed this out in later models but it seems not, just patched it with a firmware update, looks like the BT module I bought wasn't patched. Annoyed as I got round it with mine by putting a 2010 Sport BT module in but didn't think it necessary here. Going to try our local indie to see if he can patch it.

I guess I will learn......eventually
