Hi there,

I'm a newbie so hope this thread is in the correct location.

My parents have a 2005 Freelancer TD4 HSE. The standard front screen was cracked so had it replaced with a heated one. The wiring harness is present for the heated screen switch but can't seem to find the wiring to connect the windscreen up to. Can anyone tell me where the wiring will be? I've checked under the scuttle where the wiper motor is but can't see it. I'm presuming it will be there as the wiring for the switch is there.

Be grateful for any help.

Thanks in advance,

Paul.

Hi you need YMQ000990 which plugs in to a grey connector under the engine bay fuse box and then connects to battery and the screen.

US eBay is a good source of these as they had a lot of heated front screens on their Freelanders.

On either side, under the black windscreen wiper scuttle, there is (on mine) a chassis mounted white plug that relays the current from each fuse to either side of the screens input. (Each side is individually fused). The earth (on each side) goes to a fixed earth location just below the plug (on the inner wing).

The two fuses are mounted adjacent to the main fuse box in the engine compartment. Let me know if you need photos or more explanation etc.....ebt
