2004 td4 se

Hi Guys
Got a Portuguese reg freelander 2004 TD4 and the KPH speedo stopped working, the mechanic over there says it needs a new one at 350 euros plus vat, ouch!!

Anybody know if a) can i replace with a English dual MPH/KPH unit?
b)is it easy to do the swap myself?

Any help would be appreciated.

if you get one same year it should not be a problem because over here in England we have KPH on ours along side MPH
