Hi Guys (& Girls)

Just recently entered into Freelander ownership and to be honest, really pleased.
Its a Freelander TD4 S/Wagon Sport Premium Auto 55K...
...However, there is one issue, these last two days i've experienced a poor cold start idle, hunting, lumpy, almost an occassional miss. As soon as I apply a bit of throttle it all clears up. Theres no smoke, and starts immediately cold or hot - no hesitation, but as soon as the engine returns back to a cold state its back to this idle issue...

...any ideas... I would appreciate any info.

Many thanks

Chris:)

Could be leak back on on of the injectors. Do a search on leak-off test, there have been plenty of posts.
It could also be the LP fuel pump or filter situated just inboard of the off-side rear wheel. However if the filter was seriously blocked it would affect high-end performance rather than idling. The fuel pump seems to become suspect after about 60k miles but usually it fails to start and the engine will not run at all.
