I have read you can switch beam direction on some lights with a lever inside the headlamp, do you know if its possible on 2004 Discovery 2 ?
Thanks

You may be able to get an earlier model's lights to fit in their place. I replaced one of my 2000 MY lights with one from a Disco 1Could I convert RHD headlamp to LHD rather than purchasing two new lamps?
Is there a cheaper headlight that will fit and work with D2 other than the OEM model for the year? They are so expensive !
Ok thanks for the reply a freind in England just sent me this info;I don't think so.

Which country are you in?
Here in the south-east Tarn in France I see Disco ones driving around all the time and I know a bloke who breaks Landies so has LHD headlights, I do not know about facelift model ones though. Disco 2s are a lot rarer than Disco 1s.
The only way I suppose to know for sure is take out the headlamp tomorrow and look for this lever.I don't think so.
Projector module.Ok thanks for the reply a freind in England just sent me this info;
Manual Adjustment:
Locate the lever: On many Discovery 2 models, there's a lever inside the headlight assembly, often on the right side of the projector module, that controls the beam pattern.
Remove the headlight: You'll need to remove the headlight to access this lever.
Adjust the lever: Switch the lever to the appropriate position for LHD driving (usually to the left).
Reinstall the headlight: Once adjusted, reinstall the headlight.
You can ask him yourself, he speaks Dutch, French and English.Im near Grenoble in France. Would it be possible to ask the guy please if the has anything suitable for a D2 and If not would he anything that could work?
Really appreciate the help and response, thanks !
Yes they are the facelift headlights.Projector module.
Is this for the facelift headlights? In which case why not just take one off and look for it?
I do know that some cars do have this, years ago a bloke demonstrated his to me on his BMW and I think my ex- son inlaw had them on a let model Disco or a RR.
Don't think you have anything to lose by trying.
Isn't it in the owner's manual?
Thanks alot for the help, I'm English and I speak French. You can ask him yourself, he speaks Dutch, French and English.
His name is Robert and here I hope, if I can find it is his website.

You WILL have to tell him if it is a facelift model or not.
Are you French? If so you can post to me in French as I "do" French, having taught it for 34 years.
Well if you were nearer, I could lend you mine!Yes they are the facelift headlights.
I did have a look through the owner's manual and searching through I couldnt find anything about the lever.
Tomorrow I will take one off. Annoyingly I dont have the 6 point e 10 socket.

I did find this, which says that there is one type of headlights for a facelift version where this works but only if you have "HID" dipbeam or summat, have a read of it and you'll see what I mean.

Headlights from RHD to LHD - change?
Now that I've permanently exported my 2003 D2 I'm thinking what to do with headlights. I have two sets, LHD and RHD...just wanted to check whether the RHD ones can't be set to LHD to keep as a spare set...I suspect they can't, but wanted to check before putting them on ebay.www.landyzone.co.uk
You probably would be getting the VIN re-punched on the rear chassis leg aswellIf we ever decide to move over here permanently I may be in exactly this same position!
On my D2? It is 2000 my, so may not be sucha problem, but I have no idea! You probably would be getting the VIN re-punched on the rear chassis leg aswell![]()
I can't help either as mine is a plain old early D2 with the D1 stle lights.I did read that post and couldnt really make sense of it. I think they are talking about to Zenon lights !? I think mine are just halogen ??
