2002 freelander, any good?

hi, not posted in this forum before im more used to being over in the discovery one asking for help!
thing is my grandad is looking at swapping his 98 disco es for a 2002 TD4 Freelander, just wondering what things (if any) to look out for on these vehicles before buying them. cheers

not many problems really....


make sure hill decent works properly and listen for any unusual noises from IRD.

full service history is a must and with all 4x4's check for off road damage!

i've had 3 freelanders in 6 years ond the only problem i've had is the leaky rear door which is common on 3 doors.

the Td4 is a cracking engine, well suited to the car.

they look great!

One of Freelanders is a TD4. It's never missed a beat. Great engine. Lovely car.
