2001 Z71 should I buy?

Looking at a reg. cab 2001 chev. Z71. How does the 5.4 perform? How does
it handle?

I had a 2000 reg cab Chevy Z71 with the 5.3L Vortec. It is very quick, very
fast and handles like a dream. You may forget that it's a truck. You may
want to get a programmer to raise the top speed limit and make a few other
adjustments that you'll feel with the pedal to the floor.

Mine handled fantastically off road and saw a lot of SW desert. However, a
word of warning.....I was in a 20 mph accident and the truck literally
collapsed and was written off. I guess that's the way that it's designed and
it's to protect the passengers.
