I have a difficult problem whereby when typically accelerating up steep ascents
( say 30-40degrees), in say low range 2nd or 3rd the orange engine light comes on at about 3200 rpm
and the engine cuts or loses most of its power .
Similarly when towing a trailer and I accelerate quickly,
Nanocom finds a persistent crank anglesensor fault ... even after sensor is replaced
with no noticeable fault whilst driving normally!

So problem results when there is fast demand under load.

I have changed the Fuel pressure, Fuel Temp and Crank Angle Sensors
and checked the full Fuel Supply/ Return line taking pressure readings etc ... all OK.

Car starts and drives well under all other conditions below 3000rpm and when not
accelllerating under load ....

Any ideas guys ??????????

If you have a Nanocom have you checked the boost pressure when it happens. Could be over boost. Have you adjusted the waste gate actuator to increase the boost.

OK ... will look into that thanks.
Also going to look replacing sensor wire/plug with proper spec shielded replacement.

It is usually a starting problem if the sensor wire has deteriorated. It is so close to the starter motor it picks up stray signals from the starter when starting, it is fine other times. I have changed mine the insulation was very hard and the copper was exposed near by the plug. New plug new shielded wire back to the ECU.
I put it well out of the way and protected it with tubing leave enough slack to allow for engine movement.

Could it be turbo wastegate sticking and or over boost happening which will cut engine power every time.
