200 tdi, disco or defender?

Hi all, could anybody tell me how to tell if the 200tdi engine in my landy is from a defender or a disco? It was converted from a V8 before i bought it and i now need to buy some service bits and a cam belt but need to know where the engine may have originated from so as to get the right parts?

hi
if the turbo is really close to the chassis then its out of a disco if its further up the engine closer to the inlet manifold then its out of a defender although dont hold me to it but i think service items are the same???
anyway hope this helps

Look on the engine block on the drivers side, below the cylinder head, and to the right of the fuel pump assembly. On the top of the casting is a number - if it starts with 11/L its a Defender engine. If its something else its a Disco. You might need to use some cleaner and a brush to get it visible.
