As above, I have a 2.5 N/A diesel fitted to my 88". when I first finished rebuilding the landy I was able to get to 70 comfortably on the flat but when myy injector pump started leaking it struggled to go past 45. Since then I have had a new injector pump and new fuel filter put in but its still reluctant to go past 50 on the flat. Could it be the pump timing slightly out (on the block not the belt) or the fuel screw just needs adjusting as its been rebuilt?

Lift pump seems good (A britpart new one I had in stock when my old one decided to leak a tonne of oil out of it) but when fitting a new filter, pumped the handle and plenty of pressure coming out of it.

On startup it does smoke when cold (white smoke) but believe that to just be the excess fuel on start up as it clears within a few seconds. Running temperature is bang in the middle even if pushing it up hills and things due to lack of power.

Any ideas? As I know it can comfortably do 70 its annoying me

Is the throttle going fully over when you press the accelerator pedal?
Post some pics of the linkages on top of pump and compare them to your old one.

its worth spending some time tinkering with the injector pump timing and the fuelling screw, mine was as you describe and after tinkering i can top out about 75 (but its an unholy racket) but will sit at 60-65 okay. also can be an entire gear higher in the hills now but it smokes a bit more.

oldseadog is the oracle on this but have a read of my thread here

Cant compare to old one as thats not here anymore but looks the same from what I remember. Will check the throttle though.
