Hi

My land rover started as a commercial and I've converted mine, by installing the 60,40 seats, make sure you get the floor bars where the rear seats clip into

Also the rear seat belts fit into a bracket behind the side panels, I had to get mine welded in

It will take a little while to adjust the seats so that they lift up and then click down properly into the floor bars

I also put side windows and all the rear side panels etc

Takes a while to do but just take your time to get them set up correctly

If you get atuck there are plenty of people who have done this and will always help

Hope you get on ok , I managed to get a complete interior, seats etc the lot for 500 this was a couple of years ago

One thing is if you take the seats out yourself make sure you pick up every bolt etc that you can

Hi

Yep sorry meant to say about that, thanks for pulling me up as I know your insurance would be void if you didn't inform them

As I had to get the brackets welded in by a local company, I also at the same time got a mot done to prove that it was done properly and also ensure if the insurance company moaned and couldn't say it wasn't done correctly

I then done a photcopy of my mot filled in the slterations on the bottom of my log book and sent it off

Just put in there 5 seats and that was that

Also informed my insurance company, wanted pictures sent and a copy of my mot cert

Had no probs and I think it added about 50 -60 to my premium , sorry can't remember as it was at least 18 months ago

I found the freelander drove and sat better on the road with the extra weight of the seats

gary...would i have to go thru all that if i change the number of seats....i thought all i would have to do is inform the dvla about the number of seats and my insurance company....

Hi

I done it as belt and braces really I imagine you don't have to get a mot done but I did so that if anything went wrong etc I then knew I had done everything to ensure the safety of anyone who sat in the back of the car
