2.25 Petrol Emission Control/K&N Filter

My oil bath filter replaced with K&N which is mounted directly on top of my Weber Carb. Is it necessary to keep emission control pipe work? What about the manifold heat shield, is this necessary?

I too have K&N mounted to a Weber and I don't have a heat shield or any emission pipe work.

My landy was like that when I got it and it doesn't seem to bother it too much.

Hi if you are worried about emitions fit an ecotek valve in the brake servo line to the manifold this will improve emitions and fuel consumtion,
have a look at this site

That’s only if you have one of them new fangled servo thingies.
