There's a lot of debate about timing a Series 3 2.25 Diesel engine – whether special tools are essential or if experience can suffice. While I've successfully timed Land Rover fuel pumps manually, I prefer to have the right tools for the job.
Over the Christmas break, I decided to design a 3D-printable timing tool. If you're interested, I've attached the files.
You can print the tool using your preferred filament. I used PLA, but I plan to reprint it in PETG soon.
I'd love to hear about your experiences with the tool – successes, failures, and any feedback you have."
You also need a couple of 6mm bolts as I designed the parts separately and then put them together
PLEASE DO NOT SELL THIS BUT IT IS FREE TO USE FOR ANYONE WHO IT HELPS.
Many Thanks
Richard
