Hi folks,
I have a T reg 2.0XEdi which has 79.000 on the clock at the moment. I have just started towing my catering trailer which isn't very heavy.

The freelander seems to lack any sort of grunt when hitched up to it. The trailer brakes are off before someone mentions it!!!

Have replaced both the air and fuel filter which has increased MPG nicely.

I have to change down a gear or two even on what you would class as a gentle incline on a dual carraige way.

Any suggestions as to what to start looking at?

Many thanks for taking the time to read my post.

Agree with hippo,

I did it to my T plate L series and its transformed it.. I pull my daughter horse trailer 2 - 3 times a week, and the synergie transformed it!! LAODS more bottom end torque, more acceleration, and better MPG!! When not towing im averaging 39 - 42 MPG, and when i am towing, it doesnt dip lower than about 30!! Result.

Go to the Rover Ron website, shell out about £160, and itll transform your freelander into a really capable pulling machine.

RoverRons after sales service is very good too.

I'm going to be looking at this very closely! Is that defo for diesels too then?

I saw a huge ad in LRO for a company who deal with diesel tune ups. £160 sounds good though. Is it something that can be done fairly easily DIY style i.e. open something up and slot in a 'chip'?

What if my turbo is faulty, would it still boost power? Could do with a better MPG too!!
