I HAVE OWNED THIS P38 SINCE JUNE 2014 AND IT HAS BEEN VERY RELIABLE WITH ONLY MINOR ISSUES SUCH AS A WHEEL BEARING AND A SUSPENSION AIRBAG WHICH I CHANGED MYSELF.
IT IS THE VERY NICE RIOJA DARK RED COLOUR WHICH IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION APART FROM A SCRATCH ON THE REAR BUMPER WITH FULL CREAM LEATHER INTERIOR AGAIN IN VERY GOOD CONDITION ALTHOUGH THE DRIVERS SEAT IS SHOWING SIGNS OF WEAR ON THE EDGE.
ALL THE ELECTRICS WORK APART FROM THE HEATED SEATS WHICH HAS NEVER BOTHERED ME, IT HAS ELECTRIC MEMORY SEATS, MIRRORS, SUNROOF ETC.
THE ORIGINAL REARVIEW MIRROR HAD BLED SO I HAVE REPLACED IT WITH A DISCOVERY ONE WITH BUILT IN COMPASS WHICH WORKS GREAT.
THE PREVIOUS OWNER HAD ADAPTED THE CENTRE DASH PANEL TO FIT A REVERSING ALARM BUT IT LOOKED A MESS SO I HAVE REMOVED IT AND SOURCED A REPLACEMENT PANEL RETURNING IT TO STANDARD SPEC, THE SENSORS FOR THE PARKING SYSTEM ARE STILL IN THE BUMPER SO YOU MAY BE ABLE TO RE=USE THEM IF REQUIRED.
ALL FOUR ALLOYS ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH PIRELLI SCORPIONS WITH APPROX 4-5MM TREAD ALL ROUND.
THE HEADLINING IS SAGGING SLIGHTLY IN THE REAR BUT COULD EASILY BE STUCK BACK UP.
THE AIR CONDITIONING ISN'T WORKING AND I'VE BEEN TOLD BY MY LOCAL LANDROVER SPECIALIST IT NEEDS A NEW OR SECOND HAND REPLACEMENT CONDENSER RADIATOR, TO BE HONEST I DONT TEND TO USE AIR CON ANYWAY AND PREFER TO DRIVE WITH THE SUNROOF OR WINDOWS OPEN.
I HAVE JUST HAD THE MOT DONE AT MY LOCAL LANDROVER SPECIALISTS AND A WHEEL BEARING AND ABS SENSOR WERE CHANGED AT THE SAME TIME, SO IT COMES WITH A FULL MOT UNTIL 23RD FEBRUARY 2017 WITH NO ADVISORIES NOTED.
THE P38 HAS DONE 114898 MILES BUT WILL GO UP SLIGHTLY AS I USE IT TO GO TO WORK ODD DAYS.
THE GEARBOX AND TRANSFER TO LOW BOX ALL WORK FAULTLESSLY AND CHANGES SMOOTHLY.
ANY VIEWINGS WELCOMED AND ENCOURAGED
CASH ON COLLECTION OR BANK TRANSFER WITH CLEARED FUNDS PRIOR TO PICK UP.

KENWOOD CD/RADIO WITH USB TO CONNECT PHONE OR IPOD ETC.
THE ENGINE IS THE NEWER THOR WITH BOSCH ELECTRONICS WHICH IS REPORTEDLY MORE POWERFUL, HAS A BETTER GEARBOX AND IS SLIGHTLY MORE ECONOMICAL THAN THE EARLIER GEMS.
THE HEATER O-RINGS WERE CHANGED BEFORE I GOT IT WHICH IS ANOTHER COMMON PROBLEM ON P38'S.
THE AIR SUSPENSION WORKS PERFECTLY CHANGING BETWEEN HIGH, NORMAL, ACCESS AND HIGHWAY MODES, THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH ONE OF THE HEIGHT SENSORS WHEN I GOT IT BUT I REPAIRED THIS AND RECALIBRATED IT ALL WITH THE EAS SOFTWARE AND LEAD THAT WILL GO WITH THE TRUCK.

I HAVE JUST HAD A VIEWING AND THE ABS LIGHT CAME ON, WHEN THE MOT WAS DONE A WEEK OR SO AGO THEY CHANGED A WHEEL BEARING AND SENSOR SO THIS MUST BE RELATED AS IT WAS FINE BEFORE, I WILL TRY AND GET IT BACK TO THE GARAGE TO SORT IT BEFORE THE AUCTION ENDS BUT IT MUST BE SOMETHING SIMPLE, IT ONLY COMES ON WHEN YOU TURN A HARD RIGHT CORNER.
THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR DOESNT UNLOCK WITH THE CENTRAL LOCKING SO YOU HAVE TO OPEN IT MANUALLY FROM INSIDE, IT MAY JUST BE A LOOSE CONECTION.
