For sale is my trusty Land Rover Discovery 1997 300Tdi. It’s a non-sunroof model so no leaks to worry about. 5 doors & 7 seats. Tax till 31/6/2014. MOT till 28/1/2015. Approx. 147k miles.
I’ve owned this Landy for 2 years now. It was purchased totally standard and over the last 2 years no expense has been spared on her. The rusty bits on the sills, rear door shuts & rear body mounts have been sorted out. All the carpets and soundproofing have been removed. The floor was cleaned up and treated with rust proofer and interior waterproof paint (just for peace of mind – not because there is an issue!!). I used the original mats as a template to fit 20mm stable matting which keeps the floor clean and also deadens the sound again. All the electrics work as they should. No crunchy gears and Hi\Lo\Diff Lock are silky smooth. While used as an off roader, I have had it regularly serviced after every outing. Its just been serviced where everything has been greased up, fluid levels checked & bearings checked. She doesn’t lose oil or water and runs perfectly. I recently did a 700 mile round trip for a weekend in Wales and she didn’t lose a beat all weekend! Genuine reason for sale – I just fancy a new “project”!!
I’ll start with the bad bits as its only a short list!
· Rev counter does not work.
· Will need a new rear number plate but went through the MOT as it is.
· Heater only works on No 4 – but I have the relay to do the fix.
· Offroad\green lane scratches.
Now for the more extensive list of good bits!
· Good and solid chassis.
· New Valeo clutch and HD fork only just fitted!
· Radiator replaced about 6 months ago.
· D2 Pre Facelift Headlights
· HD Steering Bars
· De EGR
· Front Winch Bumper (no winch)
· Genuine Southdown snorkel – all correctly plumbed in
· Lightbar with 4x spot lights – wired in via a separate switch in the cab
· Full breather kit installed.
· Rock\Tree sliders
· Front Diff Guard
· Standard rims with 245\75\16 Kuhmo KL71 MT’s – these fit the arches nicely, small bit of trimming made to stop any rubbing at the rear.
· +2” Bearmach springs
· +2” Terrafirma shocks – these are only 3 months old!
· Rear Gwin Lewis dislocations cones
· 3 degree front arms.
· Rear Anti Roll bar removed (can be supplied)
· Rear Tank Guard with removable\adjustable tow ball
· Rear custom made bumper – this is a one off made especially for this vehicle – fits really snug to the rear to improve angles! The tow bar electrics are still there just tucked up out of the way. Tow bar can be supplied!
· Van Vault Mobi in the boot – great for storing all your gear. I can remove this if you want!
· New rear prop donut
· Rear brake pads changed 6 months ago.
· RDX Rear lights – the round ones – look awesome!
· Alpine Stereo (with working rear subs!!)
Price is £2000 but open to [sensible] offers. This will be a true bargain for the new owner! I also have a whole load of spare to go as well that I’ll throw in for the right selling price (Grill, light surrounds, wing mirrors, UJ’s, track rod ends, some orange bush’s plus some other small bits and pieces).
