1997 P Registration Land Rover Discovery 300TDI Arden.
2496CC 5 Speed Manual Gearbox
Green with Beige Cloth Interior.
5 Door, 5 Seats.
MOT expires 04/05/2013 and tax expires 31/10/12
152500 miles but in daily use so may go up a bit.
This is a standard spec 300TDI Discovery in good condition.
The paintwork and bodywork is above average. There are areas of oxidation on the doors and the odd dent and scratch but it’s very presentable.
The interior is clean and has, genuine, tailored carpet mats fitted.
The original Land Rover stereo is fitted and working. It has the speakers in the rear door and the controls on the dash still work.
It has no sunroofs so less chance of any leaks.
It has remote central locking and electric windows.
It also has 16” compomotive, 5 spoke alloy wheels in excellent condition, an ‘A’ bar with spotlights which come on with full beam and a tow bar with twin electrics.
It has just had the cylinder head removed, pressure tested, skimmed and valves reground.
This was refitted with a new head gasket, manifold gasket, valve stem seals and injector seals.
The valve clearances have been checked and adjusted.
The cooling system has been flushed and a brand new radiator, water pump and temperature sensor have also been fitted before being refilled with fresh antifreeze.
The battery, exhaust and fuel lift pump have been fitted in the last 12 months.
The car will need attention to the nearside sill and front wheel arches prior to the next MOT. These are listed as advisories on the current MOT certificate.
This is a decent all round Discovery. It doesn’t look to have been off roaded and comes with book pack containing manuals and two keys with remote fobs.
All gears engage nicely with no crunching into 2nd. High, low and diff lock all engage easily and the light on the dash illuminates.
