You really don't want a second set of lights running through your
headlight switch.
GM's have flimsy switches and overloading them with a second set of
lights or even powerful halogens will melt the switch down.
If you use a relay with it's own power, you can have the headlight power
line right behind one light tagged to trigger the relay only. This will
save your switch, but turn on the plow lights with the headlights.
As far as I know, the only 'plug' for the headlight circuit under the
hood is right on the back of the fuse panel and is the whole harness
plug, not just the lights.
I prefer a second toggle or push button switch with a relay for extra
lights. I just run one ground wire to the switch and have the switch
trigger the relay by grounding the low amp coil.
