1990 Bronco Rear Window Problems

I have a 1990 Ford Bronco with the ever popular rear roll down window.
The window completely stop rolling down or up for that matter with both
the key and the dash switch. I thought maybe the motor went bad and so
I purchased another one. I have since installed the new motor but
didn't get any results. Please help!!! Anyone have any suggestions.

Time for electrical diagnosis. Start by putting a voltmeter on the window
motor. It should be 0V when you aren't turning the key or pressing the
switch. Does the reading change when you do either of those?

If it doesn't change at all, you may have an open circuit (blown fuse or
disconnected wire). Otherwise, post the reading here.

I am not sure of the exact setup in your model year, but there is an
interlock switch associated with the tailgate latch, that prevents the
glass from being raised when the tailgate is down. It is likely, given
the info you provided, that this switch is broken or the contacts
dirty/corroded.

Try jumping across this interlock and see if the key or dash switch
drives the motor. If so, service/replace the latch switch.
