I have talked with a guy that has a 1988 wrongler, inline 6,5 speed,hard
top, been all readone a couple of years ago,no rust, new tires 4WD works fine.
The only thing is that it has 220,000 miles on it.
He is asking $2200 for it, is it worth this much ?
Thanks,
Iowa883

If the previous owner took care of the rig, i.e. regular oil changes, lube,
$2200 would be a good buy. Even if the body looked a little ragged out. I
have 240K on my 91 Wrangler and I wouldn't let go for less than twice the
amount this guy is asking.

the inline 6 is as tough as they get if you look after it.. and the Wrangler
offroad ability is legendary.. but if my memory serves me correctly, didn't
you want a vehicle that could hold 4 people AND cargo too?.. you are finally
on the right track looking at Jeeps, but if you are expecting to carry four
and other stuff besides, you may want to consider the Jeep Cherokee or Grand
Cherokee..

Tell ya what is going on now. Instead of buying one new vehicle. I am
getting one and the wife is getting one but we are going used. So, I get
what I want ( Toy) and she gets the family hauler.
That is the way it should be anyhow right ?
So, does the price sound ok to you ?
Thnaks,

Yepper.. sounds ok to me

The 88 I looked at had 220,000 on it too, guy wanted $6500.00 Canadian,
about $5,000.00 US for it, I thought that was too much but would of jumped
on it for 2200
