Hi guys and girls, i am selling my defender 90 due to wanting a disco, or possibly a classic rangerover tdi for every day use. there is nothing wrong with the old bus thats making me sell it, i just want a little more compfort and some tunes. so here goes about the old girl.
Its a 1988 2.5 N/A ( the better sherpa engine ) defender 90 in DAF spring green, she runs well but does smoke on start up, gets nice and warm so the heaters are nice and toasty, and pulls quite well for a N/A. the gearbox is good and the clutch is also very good. I have done quite abit of work since iv had it, so here is just a list of things:
New exhaust system
New front discs and pads
New rear wheel cylinders ( genuine ones trw )
New master cylinder. so brakes are all good, and they work very well.
New camac tires on new silver pepper pot wheels
Truck cab fitted with head lining, it is sagging but nothing that cant be fixed.
New throttle cable.
full service, all oils changed and valve clearances done, brakes re-bled, and wheel bearings all greased and re checked after doing brakes and all the oil seals replaced too.
Rock sliders fitted.
A bar and 8 inch wipac spot lights fitted.
New front bumper with end caps fitted.
New front wing skin repair and painted.
Oh and quite alotm of paper work, recipts, M.O.T's, tax discs, and the origonal hand book.
Now for some of the bad bits:
bulkhead does need some welding, passangers foot well, top of passangers corner on outside needs welding, and under the bonet above the heater aswell.
Seat bases are tatty and need replacing.
Some one in the past has tried blowing the paint job in and didnt quite mast up properly so look abit messy, but not oo bad, cant see it from a slight distance.
since iv had the landy its been very well looked after and pretty much everything works, i will be sad to see her go tho, but i think it needs some one who will do more with her other than just use every day. there is a sterio fitted but its buggered, and the holder is all snapped up, but they are only cheap, so the wiring is there, if you have any questions please ask, and i will be happy to talk to anyone about anything about it. sorry there are no pics, but i can email some over to you via proper email not on here, as my computer is rubbish and wont post them on here.
£3000 or open to sensible offers.
