1986 LR90 Parts Book

Hello, has anyone come across a parts book/catalogue for an '86 LR90.

I have seen a few but they start from 1987.

Any links or info much apopreciated!

I would use the ‘87 on one, it covers the 2.5 petrol and diesel engines. The parts didn’t change much until nearer tdi production plus the chassis numbers covered in the ‘87 one covers ‘up to’ a chassis and ‘from’ a chassis so implies it covers them all.

The book will cover you for most things. The front doors were still Series type in ‘86, so the ones in the catalogue will be different. Pretty much the same other than those.

I have one, its in the shed, if I remember I will grab the part number for you. They have been revised over the years though but you will want one with the 2.3 engines.

When did they move to 2.5? probably earlier than 87 at a guess.

84/85 both petrol & diesel. They may have kept producing 2286cc engines after this time as an option (like they did with the 2.5 after the tdi launch), I’m not sure.

Alright, it’s for the 110, but we know it’ll be mostly the same.

I'll grab my part number this evening, it covers 2.3 2.5 and Diesel Turbo but the Diesel Turbo is less than informative, mine might be unrevised for that engine.

Works for my 1986 110.
Land Rover went metric in 1985, I think that the on-line parts book is only incompatible with the very early 110's.

Yeah, basically the same, doors are different, not much else.

The two books I have is RTC9868cc and RTC9868cb, CC is the one I use the most, but, CB was issued in 1986 and CC issued in 1989. My 90 is 85 even though I use CC for it but my guess is you also need the CC revision.
They cover the 2.3, 2.5 diesel and petrol and some Diesel Turbo but dont expect much for the diesel turbo engine, they were revised so much the books probably couldn't keep up!

Dont read into too much about revision dates, very little got revised, just get the latest revised book for your engine type and you should be good with most other things.

Also, some older parts are better replaced with revised parts, seatbelt inertia reels for instance to lose that stupid fixing down in the corner of the seat box.
