I just took the caravan out today for the first time since getting it. Just testing everything works ok before a short holiday. I must say that I was so impressed at how the RR handled it. Pulling it up a kerb was a piece of cake and I felt so in control. No revving up and slipping the clutch and getting wheelspin like I used to get in my Mondeo years ago on a previous van.
60MPH on the motorway with lorries passing me and me pasisng them was great. The whole thing just felt so stable and safe. Apart from a few inclines you couldn't tell the caravan was there. Town driving felt normal. Why was the P38 never tow car of the year?
The downside is I only got 12mpg mixed urban/motorway
It's going to cost £140 to get to Devon and back. maybe 200 miles purely on motorways (at night) will be a bit better.
