I'd be very grateful if someone could help me diagnose this.
2014 110 Defender Utility. Rear n/s passenger door seems to be intermittently failing to lock/open. I've read about the likelihood of there being a broken wire in the door shut but there does seem to be an electric supply as it's obviously trying to operate. This started a few months ago and I wondered whether it might be due to cold weather but I not too sure about that. I've sprayed GT85 everywhere through various holes/gaps but no good.
I haven't managed to get the door card off yet as I've got the window winders that don't have the central screw to hold it on - can anyone help me with how to get the window wonder off without breaking anything? My Haynes manual just says to use a blade or similar(?)
I'm wondering whether it might be a fail(ing) solenoid(?) as it doesn't seem to always fail to lock/open.
Any help would be gratefully received! Thanks.
Adrian.
