110 Td5 2003 - Starting but dies with pressing the accelerator

Might not be a strange one to someone but thought I would ask...

Symptoms -
Starts and runs on tickover just grand.
Introduce the acceleration and dies and the MIL lamp comes on..
Pull the Fuel pump relay and she will restart first turn of the key...
Going to check the loom over the top of the gear box for damage..
Could it be the fuel pump is on its way out...
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Revs a little then dies. No smoke.. Only have the Icarsoft reader that doesn't' seem to clear anything and leaves the logged codes in - have a hawkeye but thats locked to discovery and as bearmach has stopped all support/sales...
 
I was trying to use the live data feed from the Icarsoft but its not able to read it... but listen to the sound.... Im guessing she is dying around 3k revs ish...
 
My old 110 does that. It's been sat idle for about 5 years. I start it up every 6 months or so. Starts on the button and ticks over. As soon as I blip the throttle or rev it and stop, it dies. Starts again on the button. Disco 200tdi.
 
My loom for accelerator was mangled somewhere. Ran fine then when wet I occasionally lost throttle totally! But you can rev which makes me think it’s not that. I’d still re wire even if I didn’t have issues if I had another td5. It’s ridiculous it wasn’t just a direct line in the cab. Mine now goes along to inside fuse boxes, along gearbox tunnel and through a hole in the seat box. All inside of the cab obviously.
