110 Refurb Garage - Liverpool

No doubt asked a million times, but searched forum and didn't find anything conclusive, but....

I’m looking for recommendations for a garage in Liverpool area that can replace my 1997 110 chassis and do other ‘non-essential’ work if the budget can stretch.

Any details on the following would also be appreciated:
- Indication on cost for chassis and works
- What is worthwhile doing at the same time
- What do the DVLA (or others) need to know; or what do I need to do.

Around 4k.

A new chassis is going to be in the region of two and half to three grand depending on the type and any mods you want such as removable gearbox crossmember. The cost of a straight swap is going to be about the same again. Start adding hundreds if you want new suspension, brake lines etc. If I was looking at a new chassis I would budget for six grand. I don't know any reputable garages in Liverpool, sorry, but go to a 4x4 Indy and ask them if they can recommend anyone. A garage might ask for some money upfront, such as the cost of the chassis and depending how busy they are, could take a months or more to complete. Go in regularly to see how they are getting on or you will keep getting pushed back to the end of the queue.
