Just had my TD3 (54 plate) 105,000 Service done at a main dealer and less than 100 miles later the water pump apparently disconnected at 70 mph and threw itself around in the engine causing quite a bit of damage.

The main dealer is summising that the top right hand bolt was missing from the water pump and the two lower bolts sheared off.

The main dealer is saying that when changing all the belts in the 105,000 service the water pump is not touched at all.

Can any of you knowledgeable ladies/chaps share your knowledge of the 105,000 main dealer service and what work would happen around the waterpump/pulley area when changing both front and rear belts?

I have had an independent inspection carried out by Scotia and just waiting for the report as feel I may have a fight on my hands here!!:(

Dear Dr Evil - Very sorry for using the wrong section but I am only a beginner so please do forgive me
