I have xzl on the 101 currently. They've perished long before they have worn out.

I currently have a set of 4 ok ones and a ropey spare, so I'm not rushing, but, looking to the future -

I have a set of 5 15" six stud rims. 35" x 12.5" x r15 would be the tyre size id fit.

There's a good supply in this size from Nankang at as little as £130 or so a corner (remember the xzl perished before I wore them out) to about £250 a corner for something like coppers.

So that's one option. I have the 15" rims currently. Paid for etc.

Another possibility would be to get the existing rims banded. About £40 a rim, or £200 for the set.

Then 315/75 r16 would seem like a suitable size. Possibly there's a little less availability in this size than the 15" but, again, there's a range from cheap to expensive.

The above link, if it works, shows that both tyres are about the same size. Very slightly smaller diameter than the 255/100 r16 xzl that I have on there currently.

So I have a couple of options, both of which seem, pretty much, the same.

Would you have any preference?

Maybe have a look at a few smaller trucks and see what sizes they are running, then sort wheels to suit?
