1.8 petrol reversing light switch

I have searched but no result comes close
So here's the problem, when she's cold the switch/lights work fine but stop working when the engine/gearbox heats up hot. let her cool and everything
resets .

I had to shim mine when I changed it to stop it staying on/off.

Might be worth trying an extra washer or two.

Edge. I have the exact same issue! Reversing lights work at the start of a journey i.e home from work, not working by time I reverse onto my driveway 25 mins later. Any ideas anyone?

And what's more annoying is trying to reverse on a single track lane without lights when the approaching car has his headlights on casting a huge shadow behind you and ruining any night sight you may have . Why do people do this?

try a new switch also the people who keep the headlights on when you are trying to reverse are ignorant flash your lights at them it might I say might do the trick.
