Hi all,
09 Puma here. Known issues: clutch ratttle and suspected worn 'high' cog on hi-lo selector causing some transmission clunk.
Recently had some issues with first dropping in properly. A little lift or engagement of the clutch 'drops' the gear into first as you might when checking whether low-range has engaged properly or not. At this point first feels properly selected. However - once rolling, the box will violently throw itself out of first (honestly feels like the box has shat itself all over the road) but then continues to engage normally from that point onwards.
A simple matter of worn clutch causing engagement issues? Or something more sinister at hand?
help appreciated...
