02 L322 MID unit needed - not a pixel issue

Hi all,

I'm from Aus and have checked all Aus over for a second hand MID unit for my Rangie to no avail.

Can you UK peeps please point me to somewhere I can purchase and have it shipped over....

This is not a pixel issue. The unit itself I think is toast. It's been repaired before in 2008 and guess what, my date is stuck on 2008. I can't reset the fuel usage, set the clock...nothing really works and I think it comes from the MID...

I was trying to get hold of one last year too as my pixels went on it

No such luck, there like gold dust to get hold of.

So I got one from a BMW x5 as they use the same mid
And it works perfectly, only difference is it has orange backlight instead of green.
But I only plug it in to change the time as I have an aftermarket stereo fitted so don't need to use it anymore

Look on eBay
You occasionally find the BMW ones for £50!

So does your fuel usage reset work? what about the stop watch?

Yep plugs all the same
Just plug in and go

All of the features work fine including fuel usage stop watch etc...

However your fuel usage should still show on your speedo screen? Or doesn't it work on there too ?

Fuel usage works but I can't reset it. My understanding is that the calculations etc is all done on the MID. Just like the button don't work to set the clock and the buttons on the MID, the three lined vertically to the right that have the pictures of the phone etc, doesn't work.

Yep just sounds like your mid is dead
