Crank pulley damper sheared

so on Friday my crank pulley damper sheared off. How’s the best way to stop the pulley turning while I undo the bolt? It took the bolt holes I’d normally use with it

Not keen on taking the rad etc out

If I was mr tickle that could work but I’m doing it on my own LOL and it’s an Auto

You can make a holding tool easy enough if you have some steel lying around? Or lock the flywheel

460nm so you might want to rest the bar on chassis and torque it up.

I’m less concerned with the exact torque than I am with getting the old pulley off. Any stretch bolt that size done up anywhere near that tight isn’t coming undone, although i have a 3/4 torque wrench.

Think you’ve missed the fact that when the damper sheared off it took the bolt holes with it? I’m only asking about getting the pulley off, getting the new one on will be easy

Is that ok to do that with an auto? The tool everyone posts uses the bolt holes I don’t have

Nothing to bolt to! I’ll try and make some sort of finger bar type thing and see how that goes
