i did stay in Helston once,well just outside it really,seems an ok place to me,but it was not the best experience of my life.would go back though if the opportunity ever arose.that was a few years ago though.will have changed i would have thought,like most places do.

porthleven was on the telly a few weeks ago,something about rich folk buying a holiday home there.

Aye, and they can bugger right off! Holiday homes are killing the village House prices are so ridiculously high that only holiday home companies and rich emmets can afford to buy them. Like my grandparents house, got it values for a laugh, valued at just under £450k, for a small 2 bed house with no garden or parking or anything like that. But the location... well its literally 6ft from the beach and stunning ocean views. Have a looksee!

yes these rich bods who can afford these type of homes are ruining other people of ever having the chance of buying a house at a sensible price.plus 450k is ridiculous imho.nice if you are selling,not so good if you are trying to buy.

Great pics of Porthleven , we had a lovely gallery there when i was growing up ( that was quite a long time ago ) but the roof leaked - not good for original watercolours and fell out with Trevor Osbourne ( you'll know who i mean tiercel )- now you need a winter pic with all those houses covered in seaweed and 40ft waves ..

lovely views muds those houses get,but surely they are not worth nearly half a million pounds for a small terrace house.
