DISCO 2 No Communication with SRS

Hi, I joined in March 2024 and have been learning about my 2003 Discovery 2 SE, many thanks to everyone who has posted here. With my manual, o-scope, and OBD2, I have ventured into the insanity that is my 2003 Discovery 2 SE. I have conquered the 3 amigos, and now have only the SRS light on, and my OBD2 tells me that it's not able to communicate with the SRS unit. Any ideas on where to go from here? HELP!!!
 
The first thing to do is to check the power & ground connections to it - including pin grip at the connector.

Thank you for your answer, but where is it located? I'm new to this, and I'm not sure about pin grips and connectors. I'm a little wary of the SRS, because I get the feeling that it might set off the airbags if I go poking around with a probe... or am I just imaging too much of the outcome?!! BOOM, is not something that I want to hear! LOL

I have a Zurich 11, and I've installed a software update. It does select model and system scans. It's told me that it's unable to communicate with the SRS.

Then as Graculus suggested you must make sure that the SRS ECU(DCU) has power, first of all check fuse F35 interior fusebox and if it's OK you'll have to get with multimeter to the DCU and measure across pins 14 -15 in it's connector(C0256) unplugged with ignition on, if there is power the DCU is suspect or it's an interruption on the diagnostic line between that connector(pin 9) and the header(C0286) where the K line splits to all the ECUs, that's very hard to access cos it's wrapped into a harness under the dash so eventually splice in with a wire into the the pink one there and into the pink at the OBD socket and if still no comms that way replace the DCU (google out YWC106200 known good sh ones are cheap on ebay). Good luck

Wow! I can't begin to thank you enough for your reply. You have saved me so much time and effort, because (unless I am mistaken) there is no colour-coded electrical schematics in the repair manual. It's hard enough chasing couplers and pins. Again, I thank you!

I checked fuse 35, and it wasn't there. I installed a 10 amp fuse and all my problems were gone! Thank you again for your time and help! No more warning lights on my dash!
