No idea what he wants for it (if anything) but the owner describes it as being rusty round the bulkhead and the backend damaged when it was used to tow someone who then used it as their brakes.

I've only seen it when passing by on the road but it is either a 107 or 109 with a truck cab and looks like it has been stood for years.

Should I be interested or should I run a mile?

Are lwbs series 1 rare and sort after and I will end up with desirable classic car?
or
Will I end up rotten heap that is impossible to find parts for that I will spend 1000's of £s and 1000's or hours on to end up with one ugly looking next to useless lump leaking all over my drive?

I fear that if I take a close look at it I might take pity on it and end up biting off more than I can chew but I also don't want to see it ending up as scrap.

from the way you describe it , it already is scrap.

yer gonna need a noo chassis, noo bulkhead, noo brakes complete, clutch, all oil seals, window rubbers,, headlight bowls, all other lights, more than likey uj's and surpension bushes and shocks. and a ship load of other small bits and pieces.....probably

Yer mean a holl noo car! I do have a pretty decent RR rolling chassis that I could try and interbreed with the remains of the series 1 with but I fear the offspring will not be pleasent to look at.

I need more pessisism! Stop me from going and having a look! It will be like looking at a puppy, even if you don't want one you end up being compelled to bring one home.

If I had it'd be better off spent elsewhere I think. You're doing a good job Slob, ya weaning me off the idea!

on the other hand yer could spend ten grand on it. get it all nice and shiney then pretend it used to belong to buddah and sell it fer 75grand

That would mean i'd have ta break the seat and bend the steering wheel to make it look like the fat fella could fit in. Coodunt I say it was the Popes, the truck cab looks a bit like his anti-bullet armoured pope personel carrier?

True, but would it be worth it? If it was a swb i'd jump at it but to me the lwb is one ugly looking lump. Might even consider rebuilding it onto a new swb chassis if this is possible? Would it be a ballache when it came to putting it back onto the road?

Hey, I've made it to 100 posts without being told to **** off or being called a ****! Is that a LandyZone first? You lot will have to try harder.

I feel I may have just made myself a target.......
