Hi I have added CREE DRL's to my P38 as these are brighter than the LED ones and actually project light. I have attached them to my Bull Bar and I think this gives the impression of an OEM installation. These are installed as proper DRL's so when the side or headlights go on, these dim down...

Could i just purchase a new motor and connect to the regulator or do i need to buy both as the regulator is non-oem?

I specifically went out and bought a spare. Just had 4 new tyres fitted and using puncture foam means your tyre is useless afterwards, so no brainer. Put it in the boot with 2 x flexible spare wheel covers over it, one each side. Nice and tidy.

The regulator is new. I have removed the door card and the motor is not like the original and separate wiring has been done with the original connector hanging loose. Although the window works could th wiring into the new connector be wrong?

Tried this! Held for over 30 seconds up, could just hear a clicking suggestive of the motor trying to raise the window higher but not able to as it was at the top.

Had my 1999 P38 for a couple of weeks. Window Regulator was shot so had an aftermarket one installed this week. Window works fine, but still getting Error message when window goes up and switching ignition on/off. Tried all the resetting methods listed on this forum; all way down, hold for one...
