Should I or should I not?

I am not especially fussed about wanting a diesel, it's just what has become available in my area. That said the economy is a bit better. The two are quite well spec'd as it is esp the Vogue but it 'feels' older.

Should I or should I not?

After nearly six years of relative normality as far as a P38 went I have now sold it. The question now is six year old L322 3.6 tdv8 Vogue or 3.0 tdv6 Sport HSE. Both around 60,000 miles and same price. Thoughts please on which is the more worthy venture..... Ok I know some will say neither but...

    In the dark.

Update; When the 'interior lights on' is activated the only ones that work are the door puddle lamps. All other bulbs are ok and the battery is relatively new and sits at 12.6V static and charges between 13.6 and 14.4V measured at the terminals when the engine is running.

    In the dark.

First of all I have done the search but found nothing specific. I know the hold down the button trick to switch the interior lights on and off and have set it both ways i.e. on and off but whichever setting it is on the interior lights don't come on when I open the door, unlock or press the...

    A third hole!

Looks like I'll just have to make do with just the two small lights on it's rump then.

    A third hole!

Anything is possible, after all there is a police mode in the BeCM in the alarm arming section.

    A third hole!

I recently had occasion to change a reverse light bulb in my P38 and on doing so I noted (on both sides as I was inquisitive) that there was a third bulb hole between the reverse and fog light bulbs. It is marked for a 5w bulb so would imply it is for another tail/side light. I put a couple in...

    Frot hub bearing P38

I weighed it up and was quoted £100 for the bearing and 3 hours labour or buy the entire new hub for £200 and fit in one hour. Probably about the same so I bought the hub. Not a Britpart one but the better one. Thanks to all who replied. I hope the sensor comes out ok having been in for 14...

    Frot hub bearing P38

Having done all the usual checks for bearing lift and roughness when rotating (and not found anything) I hope I have determined the fact my front n/s wheel bearing is noisy. Main symptom being a 'wow wow wow' noise on right hand bends. I had it suspended on a wheel free ramp with all four wheels...

    Wade height in normal driving

Mine has done that for years. I have had it on Testbook. Autoligic and launch. No faults showed up. All sensors checked for movement and resistance and the white plug checked for corrosion and given a squirt of switch cleaner just in case. It still does it, often two or three times on a short...

    Airbag Fault but then not!

It's a relatively new battery although that doesn't always mean much. Mine needed a new one at the start of last winter and another (under warranty) just a week or two back after a cell failed. I'll have a look at the fuses - I think it's number 23?

    Airbag Fault but then not!

Its a testbook its been on but turns out the machine is faulty so he used another diagnostic to check and it doesnt show. Maybe get it back on rhe T4 once he's sorted it. So you reckon an incomplete clear of the fault? Pretty obvious when you stop and rethink.

    Airbag Fault but then not!

Thought I'd put this on yesterday but obviously hit the wrong button. Have done a search but not found this problem listed. A friend of mine has a 1995 2.5D which he refuses to part with (having spent so much probably) which had the usual EAS problem in January. Too many probs with it so we...

    Range Rover decal / letters

Using the sizes and spacings given above it's also a good idea to lay them face down on some low tac masking tape and fit them in one go or at least do each word separately. Remember to lay them as 'REVOR EGNAR' though.

    Brown Trouser Moment!

See the last sentence of my post. You will also have read the initial post where it says it has gone into free rev mode. Being a petrol engine there will be a rev limiter too so it wont do an uncontrolled diesel death. The reason I advised not to switch off is that in a panic situation it...

    Brown Trouser Moment!

Check your air intake hose for splits that could be opening and closing as you drive. Battery drain can be tricky to tie down. How long have you had the car, has it always done it or just recently? If it's just recent behaviour it could just need a new battery - these things need good voltage...

Fluid leak in a new and odd place...

Check the level over the next few days. If you had driven through a puddle of it the chances are it would have splashed up a bit more than a confined area. It wouldn't be dye or oil from your A/C would it?

    body water leaks?

Just had a similar problem to you. Initially it was the pollen filter housing on the left. The seal on the metal plate on top had compressed with age so a squirt of neutral cure silicone on the mating faces sorted that and a channel of the stuff over the edge where it meets the scuttle so the...

    Engine Racing problem?

Cruise control cable or throttle cable strands snagging? Or if it is drawing too much air check the grooves in the air hoses for splits. If it's intermittent it could be self sealing then opening up again. When it starts and races to 4000, what happens when you switch off and re-start? The same...
