    L322 Just a dud battery?

Cheers, that sounds like a job for tomorrow. Will give it a jump as no charger to hand, let it tick over then test. Yeh anything over 14v to prove alternators good. Had to do this on other car few week ago. I’ve left it longer before about a week, the colder temps recently have maybe got to it...

    L322 Just a dud battery?

3.6TDV8. Hi Guys, left car for about 3-4 days during this little cold/freezing spell we just had. Jumped in car Saturday night it tried starting but just never fired, then not even any power to try. Left it as was heading work. Took a voltage of it as it is today it’s 11.29v. Battery was new in...

I'm back, not learnt my lesson

The 3.6. Currently diagnosing a judder and bouncing revs when trying to maintain a steady speed. Like the ecu needs a fart or torque converter needs a flush n fresh lube in it... Stuck a thread up but no answers of experience yet

    L322 Judder mid range speeds

Recently picked up a 2007 TDV8 auto, no tow bar... Back ground on the car 32k ago it had a gearbox and torque converter refurb and has been well looked after by previous keepers since, plenty of paper work. I have done some searching and found many answers, has anyone else had this and have the...

I'm back, not learnt my lesson

Hi guys, as my username suggests my last experience with LR was with a 99 TD5 disco about 6yrs ago. It was fabulously unreliable with many issues-though it's still on road and Mot'd somewhere according to the government site! I'm back now in a L322 TDV8. I like a good practical barge, a mate...

TD5 Fuel Pressure Regulator life expectancy??

Wouldn't suprise me. It was at an independant specialist too:rolleyes: I doubt i'd have the patience to even attempt to remove and fit one myself having seen how and where it's located #worst design ever!!

TD5 Fuel Pressure Regulator life expectancy??

Abit of a follow on from my last thread; http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f8/lets-play-guess-fault-238854.html -Currently have a water pump, fan belt+tensioner, cam cover gaskit, thermostat and new rad hoses ready to go on to solve afew problems. Since then I've found a new yet familiar...

    Lets play guess the fault!!

It's stopped gurgling once i topped up the coolant the very first time it started- though i did pour in a full bottle of HOLTS Rad weld too just incase:D. Seems when the level gets too low it must get abit of air in the heater matrix maybe? Thought about peeling interior carpets back and...

    Lets play guess the fault!!

Well i didn't know about the drain on the water pump! Yeh i use red coolant, pink flecks behind where it's mounted suggests after whats been said it leeks under use/pressure. Will have to check this to confirm after a drive. Cheers! It was in a garage ticking over for along time (check for...

    slow/no auto box change

Re-sunroofs... I bought new seals and it still leaked:mad2:. So i got on the roof with bathroom sealant and sealed both of them up and around the mounting plastic on the roof. This seems to work, will be doing them again before winter sets in.

    Lets play guess the fault!!

Evening guys I've a 99 Disco TD5 auto, 125k coming up.... I've read numerous threads on here before writing this but there's so many possibilities! The only answer i have at the minute is a cup of V-Power and a match:rolleyes:.... The car looses coolant slowly, i keep an eye on it and top it...

    Disapearing radiator coolant.....again!

Looks like im going to be stripping plastic covers off everything tomorrow aswell then! I don't have the engine cover on as some muppet (previous services) filled the engine with oil and let some over spill onto the block which the foam absorbed, so when this gets hot dumps oil onto the...

    Disapearing radiator coolant.....again!

Fair enough Johnlad i'll not do that if it's a pressure release valve...there for a reason! Thats just it there's no steam from anywhere once up to temp or puddles once parked. Mean the mats inside the car in the footwells, if there wet? Will check this next time im out.. Yeh i'll prepare...

    Disapearing radiator coolant.....again!

Markus, luckily my parents drive way is on a slope so i'll use that to get the front end facing the sky and try and move the reservoir off it's mounting point for this bleeding process... With it being on a slope is there a danger of over filling the reservoir? I don't mind guessing as...

    Disapearing radiator coolant.....again!

Thanks Ahaggar, i'll try that bottle idea. I did check that pipe to see if there was any sign of fluid leaving it and it looked dry. Will have to get under it on my day off with a torch and have a look at all radiator joins and hoses:rolleyes: #Side note when i checked under the bonnet after...

    Disapearing radiator coolant.....again!

Thanks Fanatic, when i last checked in daylight the header tank seemed fine with no sign of fluid running away from it:( will double check if i have time when still daylight. Would the seal on the tank cap cause fluid to evaporate if it was worn and not sealing it properly? I don't want to...

Evening lads, I know im not a regular poster on here but, have used the search function and had a good read of various posts relating to this inconvieniant problem! It's just pin pointing it to the exact culprit. So any of you seasoned Disco TD5 owners had this problem? Took the car for a...
