GPS has switched itself off on TD6 Vogue. Seems to think I'm 200km from home, when I'm in the driveway. Any ideas? Thanks.

Thanks Hippo - I bought a new battery last month, can they be unreliable when new? Also, hope this is unrelated.. when I hit 80kmph, there is a low 'buzz' or hum that seems to come from near the windscreen wipers, any thoughts on that? Thanks for your help.

2005 Vogue TD6 - gearbox replaced last year, battery replaced last month, 'Trans Failsafe Prog' Message appeared today whilst driving - no other clues. Pulled over when it was safe, turned off engine, removed key, checked message centre 'check control ok'. Due for service this month, can anyone...

Hello All, In the last two weeks, temperatures here have been around the -10 mark over night and when we need our car, the battery is flat. We think it's time to bite the bullet and buy a new one (battery that is, I've been over-ruled on the purchase of a new car). I've checked the manual...

I set it to come on for 1.5 hours, which I had thought meant after 1.5 of drive time! Anyway, it has started today - seems it was all my fault! Grrr! Thanks for your help and to the others who responded too. Good to know where to come next time.

Thanks again for the help. Started first time this morning, fingers crossed that this was the problem. What is the purpose of the timed climate control if it's going to drain the battery though? How's it supposed to be used? It was -6 degrees here the morning the car first didn't start.

Datatek, thanks so much for the suggestion. We'll try this. Do you know if the timed climate control could contribute to a battery issue? This is the only setting that we've changed recently, turned this off yesterday afternoon and the battery didn't drain overnight... We're about an hour...
