Hello All,

In the last two weeks, temperatures here have been around the -10 mark over night and when we need our car, the battery is flat. We think it's time to bite the bullet and buy a new one (battery that is, I've been over-ruled on the purchase of a new car). I've checked the manual but no clues on what battery to buy. Given the dimensions / data of the current one, I've come up with this as a replacement. Seems expensive. Is it necessary? Anyone got any better ideas? I'm based in France too just to make things more interesting!

Starter Battery Land Rover Range Rover III (LM) 3.0 TD 6 from Bosch - 0 092 S50 150

Your right it is expensive, go to Lincon batterys or Battery Megastore | Your Online Store for Batteries, Inverters , Battery Chargers, Charging Systems and Accessories about £100 for a C31-1000 Car Battery 12V 130Ah 1000 CCA

Lincon make there own battery's at the factory, so you get the best from source, you cant get a better battery in my opinion, I just bought one, and put it on on the Monday, and it makes a world of difference, and its made in England by British people.... say no more....

Dopey, Thanks for that. I've called them & it is great to know that they can deliver to us and save me €100. The one you've recommended is bigger than the current one, but I'm getting my wellies on, getting out in the snow and under the bonnet now... thanks.

Aslong as it physically fits, on a P38 it is best to go for the highest rated battery that will fit....

I currently have a 680cca which let me down a few nights ago, so I am planning on a 1000cca as reccommended by Dopey and Datatek....

But it is time for vehicle tax at the end of this month so it will have to wait a few weeks....

The one I got from Lincon Battery's Lincon Batteries - Manufacturers and suppliers of classic car batteries, commercial vehicle batteries, marine batteries, motorcycles batteries and more JUST squeezed in, I couldn't get a biggest one if I tried
