    Likely mot failures?

Did the single wheel jack VCU test today - not much fun at -8C. Looks like that's my problem. So is a missing front prop shaft an MOT failure? Any comments from anyone on any of this?

    Likely mot failures?

Yet more newbie advice needed I'm afraid. I finally managed to properly take stock of my new acquisition, 92 3.9 Vogue SE ABS codes read out as 2-3, 2-6, 2-8, 2-14 (i think) and 5-12. The 5-12 looks like it'll need a new sensor, judging by the dangling wires, and i've got some relays then...

Classic ride height - not EAS

Thanks Classic - 500mm on mine so I guess that makes it a 2" lift. Can't understand how it didn't notice it before. Wonder if it was done right?

Classic ride height - not EAS

Just bought a 92 Classic SE, can anyone tell me what the ride height, e.g ground to top of wheel arch, should be. No air suspension involved obviously but it looks a little high so I'm wondering if a previous owner has put in larger springs.

    Finally did it

Hi Folks, Having been a lurking on here for a while I've finally managed to bite the bullet and got me a 1992 Classic 3.9 SE. There's a couple of holes in the sills that I've spotted already but no advisories on last years MOT so maybe they're acceptable for now. Its marginal on the 300mm...

Anyone see the RRC on TV last night?

Just watched the program. I particularly liked the trying to shut the top tailgate sequence. I could really empathise at that point.

    Insurance Co thieves

What I don't get is why its 50 quid cheaper when I add my wife as second driver when she's never ever going to drive the thing. You'd think that telling them I'm married would be enough, if having a "speed governer" is what they care about, particularly when I have 15 years NCB and I'm an...

    Classic heater problem

Nice one Odyssey. Some good stuff on that site. Dogsbody, I know what you mean about LRO. These days though they seem don't seem to mention RRC much either. Its all Series and Disco 1/2 it seems. I thought all you needed to know about P38 was "fit a new BCM" anyway? ;)

    Classic heater problem

Ah. I wish there was a cheat guide around for RRC heater as I might have considered it. There's a nice one for P38 involving cutting off bits with a hacksaw in LRO this month.

    Classic heater problem

Thanks IGP50 (and Zen). You've pretty much confirmed my fears. I see Rave quotes 6 hours for that job even if there's no other problems. Think I'll give this one a miss and keep looking for now.

    Classic heater problem

Folks, First real post here after years of lurking. I'm on the verge of buying that RRC that I've promised myself for ever. :D One I looked at yesterday had non-functioning heating but otherwise was in good condition. How big a problem is this likely to be to repair? I should mention...
