Does anyone know where or who is breaking a number of series 111s please? We are looking for 4 x flywheels for 2.25 petrol 5 main bearing engines. New or used (Part number ERC 6408).

Hi Garyrigden. If the scoring is all around the back plate then the drum could be too wide, but if the scoring is only at the top of the backplate, perhaps the wheel bearings have play.(Its only a suggestion). The 1st is the most likely as the old drum did not rub. Kind regards, Allan from LEGS.

Hi Garyrigden. Are you sure it is not the edge of the shoe touching the sloping ridge inside the drum? Perhaps it has not been machined out properly. A common fault with pattern parts. Some are good but some can be rubbish. Kind regards, Allan from LEGS.

Hi Andy. The 2.5 TD will go straight on the gearbox and mountings.Just use the 4 speed clutch plate. Its a bit tight Turbo and exhaust wise by the chassis but all fits. Remember to use the bigger bore 90 exhaust as the series exhaust is small diameter. Kind regards, Allan from LEGS.

To 1daymaybe, Just watch the viscous coupling on the propshaft as these are prone to tighten up, knocking out the transfer box or the rear diff. If it is faulty and you dont replace it, the same thing can happen again to your new units. Regards, Allan from LEGS.

You can skim the TD5 head as with other alloy heads (within safe limits). Rember to ensure you have the later steel locating dowels as opposed to the bendy plastic ones. If you remove the injectors, remember to keep them in exact order. Regards, Allan from LEGS.
