Give Ollie a call at Inside Out 4x4 at Capel near Dorking - not a million miles away.

A good, reasonable priced garage near Gatwick?

2nd for Inside Out 4x4. Capel, between Dorking and Horsham. Don't know about how good they are with freelanders, but ollie does an excellent job with my 90.

    Surrey autojumble

Out of plaster, still a bit sore but I can drive the landy OK (well, as OK as I ever did). Are you going to the autojumble? If so, I'll give you a call when I'm there and hopefully we can meet up and we can arrange going over to the vineyard sometime next week (poss. thursday 17th?). If not...

    Surrey autojumble

Hi medusa - will you be there in the landy in your sig? If so, then I hope you don't mind if I say hello? (I'm in a green 90 55plate with snorkel and chequerplating down the sills)

    Surrey autojumble

although I don't actually need anything, seeing as it's just down the road from me, and that the guys at Insideout 4x4 have done some good work on my landy, I'll be going along. not been to one before, so not sure what will be there - might take a small wad of cash just in case :)

    Porned up Defender 90 :)

no, it has nothing to do with the snorkel or a 2" coil either :)

I apologise - Porny is Ian's (at IRB) nickname on another LR forum. I believe/d that many people on this forum also know him. The thread wasn't meant as a free marketing scam/spam, just wanted to share. Sorry for any confusion caused. Mark

No not marketing, simply passing on my experience of excellent product backed-up by excellent custiomer service. The product in this case relates directly to Land Rover defender, so is this not a place where people with a similar interest in land Rover defenders can share their thoughts, ideas...

Porny - ian at IRBDevelopments. mpg - hmm, haven't had time to check it yet. Obviously, more fuel id being injected, but at the same time the turbo is doing a more efficient job. Ian should be able to give a more accurate idea of mpg. The emmissions, well the MOT only test for...

    Porned up Defender 90 :)

Just got back home to Surrey after having Ian (aka Porny) do his stuff on it this morning. WOW! What a fantastic fella - not only did he agree to look at my landy at 8 o'clock this morning, but he'd done a 1st rate job of removing the ERG, and CAt and downloading his stage 1 remap for the...

Got a feeling I'm gonna get a flaming for this question

having successfully negociated a wiper blade renewal, what do you think my chances are at stripping it down and galvanising the chassis ? :)

    Anyone used these guys

I bought mine from these guys.# Very friendly, family-run business, can be mobile on price. They also can supply and fit any extras. When i bought my 90 from them, they gave it a full service, MOT and 12 month warranty thrown in. So far so good. Call John there - he's as good as gold.

Got a feeling I'm gonna get a flaming for this question

hehe. got it sorted in the daylight :) Ok, I was a bit (or maybe more than a bit) crap, but in my defence, the clip holding the blade to the arm was jammed solid - a small flatheaded screwdriver, a bit of a wiggle and off she popped! I can see thru the windscreen again - hurrah!

Got a feeling I'm gonna get a flaming for this question

at the risk of sounding a bit crap, the wiper blades on my 2006 90 are starting to perish -, but the tension on the arms is still good. So, in my naivety, off i toddled to halfords (for some reason i never fully trust that the stuff from halfords is actually the correct part) - got a couple...

    Temp gauge bulb

As the title says - the bulb in the temp gauge has blow - could anyone advise on what bulb to get (before I've taken the dash apart and then found out I don't have the right one). Also - is taking the dash off easy - what's involved? Finally, the speedometer is just slightly at an angle (if...

haven't got round to any of the 'lanes' yet - still taking it easy on the farms. The 90 is used to transport me over some shoots - actually got a couple near you (Rudgwick). Any local 'gems' that you think I should try would be welcome. Ta Mark

Hello everyone. Have just purchased my first Land Rover - a defender 90. The site has been really useful to me over the past few weeks when considering the purchase - so thanks to you all. I try to use the search option as much as possible, but if I do happen to ask a question that's been...
