Hello everyone.
Have just purchased my first Land Rover - a defender 90.

The site has been really useful to me over the past few weeks when considering the purchase - so thanks to you all.

I try to use the search option as much as possible, but if I do happen to ask a question that's been asked a 100 times before - be gentle with the flaming

I use the vehicle both on and off road:

on road - just to get to work and back (about 15 miles a day)
off road - driving fields, thru woods and over the surrey downs in search of rabbits for the pot

I have to admit, at the moment driving off road scares the cr*p out of me - but at least the tensing of the buttocks is good exercise

Not far then, I'm in Cranleigh. Some nice local lanes around Dorking, Ranmore etc.

haven't got round to any of the 'lanes' yet - still taking it easy on the farms.
The 90 is used to transport me over some shoots - actually got a couple near you (Rudgwick).

Any local 'gems' that you think I should try would be welcome.

Thats one way of looking at it!

Good to have a thick skin on here, theres a lot of **** taking, but its all in jest. As you've noticed though, there is a gold mine of info and advice here
