Ok many thanks for replies. It seems I need a new key fob then. The key and the fob are all one. Original Where would I get one ,, I don't live in the uk so is it a main dealer job Thanks again

So as it was open not locked with the fob I have always noticed that the red lights flash inside the car after a while so does it automatically alarm itself

I don't normally lock the vehicle,,,But it was open I have never locked it with a key alway fob
