hello, i was planning on swapping my axles but still havent got round to it, but just out of curiousity would it be easy to change the diff and the half shafts instead? and to take the diff off is it just a matter of draining oil then unscrewing theese bolts? cheers.

too be honest its the front one that only needs changing, (slack drive) so the front is just a straight forward swap? cheers

could i just swap over my 2.5 td axles for 300 tdi defender ones? the difference being the splines? also the 300tdi ones have rear discs and mine have drums, how easy is it to change this over if swapping full rear axle? is it just a matter of changing break pips on calipers? cheers for any replys!!

all the bits are there to do the swap including gear box's, would it add value to the vehicle if i did this? and is it true ill get better mpg?

im planning on brush painting/rollering mine when sun comes out, i ordered grey oxide primer off ebay and synthetic paint from Car Paint from AutoPaint St Helens (Powered by CubeCart) ive tested these paints on part of my lanny and its come out really well, would highly recommend auto paint.

im thinking about getting a 300tdi defender engine put in to replace my 2.5td, but what benifits would it give me? ive never drove a 300tdi, also i wanna add that my 2.5td is mechanically sound, and the 300tdi engine ive got lined up has no history with it and has 120k on clock cheers for any replys

will a r380 gearbox and transfer box fit onto my 2.5td?

kk cheers, ive just bin reading up on google and is it true that if you remove your rear prop it saves you on fuel? i dont do any off roading as my lanny is a work horse so i dont really need 4wd, cheers in advance!

i dont no whether they are the same mate, someone should be able to tell you on here! do you no for sure its the uj's? i have a clunking on my defender, i dont no if im right in saying but i think if you take propshaft off with the suspecting damaged uj, and have quick drive round to listen for...

ive got a clunk noise, so ive checked props like wot previous posts said, theres nowt wrong with a frame ball joint, and shafts seem fine, but when i turn the front shaft theres abit of play in it is this normal? and ive just realised there is no transmissions fluid in it! so could that cause...
