Looks like you guys had a great time and I know what you mean, you need to take a lot of spares and half time you don't need to, like having a condom in your wallet every now and again you actually need to use it.
We will be staying mostly to tarmac but if we see something a bit tasty that takes are interest then we'll go for it, we know the weather it's not going to be the best but be prepared for that, it's the only time you that all of us to get together.
Oh yes we are all taking a good amount of spares, the older vehicles are probably in better shape then my 300tdi. The usual alternator starter motor head gasket, seals of many shapes and sizes bearings, tape, cable ties, and magic metal etc etc
Tickets are booked and I have a plan but I could do with any advise that you could throw my way.

N reg Defender 300tdi disco transfer box / 265-75-16 MTs

I am not an expert on this, but me and mate did this last week. Take out the transfer box, slide back the gearbox fit clutch. It took us 5 hours, the only reason we did it that way, was because I changed the transfer box for a disco one to up my gearing
yeah, give your canvas a good jet wash, which will also take out some of the old dye.
Let it totally dry, pick up some colour dye/restorer and some fabsil waterproofer, mix the two and paint on. Give it two coats on a hot day.
