    Some free bits...

No other bit, sorry. I'm moving house and have the things listed hanging around. Thought I might as well get rid rather then lug them to the new place. The only other car related things I'm getting rid of are 300ZX ones (and the car itself).:)

    Some free bits...

The wheel is the spare from my RR which was separated form the car due to the LPG kit. The car had big OEM wheels (18"??) but I'll check the size out later today (bit tied up this AM).

    Some free bits...

Due to the demise of my RR I've got the following free to anyone who can pick them up. 1 spare steel wheel and tyre. The tyre is in good nick. An EAS valve block which is not working but might be usefull for spares. The diaphram valve is knackered and there is a snapped screw in the block...

    P38 EAS Problems

Have to agree, in fact I've just been out there this evening clearing codes on mine with my home made lead and Storey's software. For referance, mainly for people searching in the future as I doubt this is your problem, my issues were down to the main connector to the valve block being dodgy...

I've no experience of this but have you considered an engine mount as the cause? Does it do it in neutral?

air suspension not working after changing alloys

Without more info it's difficult to help. Try the following 1/ check all airlines, top of bags, dryer connection and valve block connections for leaks using soapy water or gas leak detector spray (from Wicks or similar). 2/ check pump function, as mentioned above unscrew the pump filter and...

    Coolant system service

Thanks gents, my local LR dealer managed to get some in early Saturday morning though so I bought those. Got them changed now and all seems to be OK. The idiot who had the car before me totally buggered the dash though. It helped the access a little as there were so many broken fixings it flexed...

Range Rover 4.6 Head Gasket Replacement

Trevor, sorry to dig this up, I've been away from the forum for a while but I'll explain what I was on about. Firstly I'm not talking about just head bolts but the theory of fastener engineering. When tightening a nut or bolt the goal is to achieve a certain clamp force, that is the force the...

    Start up idling problems

Gents (and ladies if there are any reading), I was hoping you could shed some light on a little problem I've been having since getting my P38. It's a 4.6 with LPG fitted. When it's started from either hot or cold it idles really badly and will stall if I don't feather the throttle. I've had...

Range Rover 4.6 Head Gasket Replacement

I don't dispute anything you've said except the bit above. Clamp force and torque are not directly related, there is a third variable which is friction. Small variations in friction result in suprisingly large clamp load differences. The torque angle method of tightening bolts does result in a...

    New air dryer required?

Hello everyone, I've just replacd the diaphram valve in my EAS valve block in an attempt to fix my EAS problems. There was lots of white powder under the valve which I cleared out. I assume this is material from the dryer? Can anyone confirm. If it is I guess I should get a new dryer before I...

    Eas Fault

Have a look around here Range Rover EAS Reset Tools . I just finished building a lead according to Story's instructions and maanged to clear the EAS fault on my P38.

P38 EAS again, found a fault, how fix?

Can't help with the operation of the system as I've not had my RR a week yet so I'm still learning. But I can tell you there are rebuild kits for the valve blocks out there for sale. O rings kits are about £25 and diaphrams are a bit more. Not sure on forum rules about name checking suppliers...

    P38 Sterio

I'm not of the 22" spinners, TV's in head rests and blue washer jet lights brigade but I do think keeping the original stereo only for reasons of originality in what is my daily driver might be cutting off my nose to spite my face. I agree nothing will match the interior like the original but...

EAS pump piston seal replacement - help please

Thanks for responses guys, I managed it in the end. I just kept drving screw drivers down between the counter weight and motor body and eventually I could see it was moving. Wasn't easy though, for the benifit of anyone bringing this thread up in a search in the future, treat it like an...

EAS pump piston seal replacement - help please

Sorry to be asking for help all of the time but here I am again, cap in hand, out of ideas. I'm trying to renew the teflon piston seal in my EAS pump. I've got the pump stripped down to the point of removing the grub screw from the counter weight but I can not remove the CW / piston asy from...

 gulp. I really hope it isn't that. Are there any other symptoms of a cracked block? How much did it cost to fix (say it quickly so it doesn't sounds so bad)?

    P38 Sterio

LOL, I do have that very system!! What's so special / difficult about it? I assumed it was just speakers. Do your steering wheel buttons work the new head unit? Is there an accronym I need to look for to allow that functionality?
